Accidents - The Series
*THE HAPPY ACCIDENT"
The best teacher I ever had (in any subject and at any educational institution) was my high school art teacher, Ed Miller. Growing up in the early 80's in the town of Moberly, Missouri I spent fours years studying under "Mr. Miller" and at the time didn't realize how the instructions received in an art lesson could be interpreted into every aspect of life.
In an effort to find creative ways to interpret a subject, I have always experimented with varying media. The combination or direct mixture of two or more media often achieves an unexpected outcome. Those unexpected outcomes are what Mr. Miller would call the "Happy Accidents".
Once learned "Accidents" can then be carefully applied to future works, again combined with another medium or with the result of yet another previously learned technique.
The "Accidents" series represents an array of techniques that I have learned by virtue of some past "Happy Accidents".
Thank you Mr. Miller.
